This workshop focuses on the measurement of psychological safety, utilising both quantitative and qualitative methods, and drawing on sociological research methodologies. We address measurement from a practitioner perspective, whilst drawing insights and best practices from academia. It’s interactive, engaging, and hands-on. This is a 2.5 hour session that assumes a foundational understanding of psychological safety. Whilst we can provide exceptions, in general, we ask that you have attended at least two of the preceding modules, including fundamentals. You’ll get far more out of the session that way. Get in touch if you have any questions.
What we explore is designed to be applicable and adaptable to measuring psychological safety in any industry, from technology to healthcare, local government to education.
We cover the following aspects of measuring psychological safety:
All attendees will receive a Credly Badge, a certificate of completion to confirm attendance, further reading, materials and resources used in the session, a copy of the Psychological Safety Action Pack and a licence to use it in your organisation, access to a private alumni group, and some swag!
If you need to cancel or postpone, let us know at least 48 hours before the session for a full refund / postponement to a following session.
We offer one scholarship place entirely free of charge to each workshop. The scholarship is intended for those for whom any payment at all is out of reach. Preference is given to people in lower-income countries and from disadvantaged or under-represented groups. Contact us if you’re interested.

I recently attended the “Measuring Psychological Safety” training organized by Psychological Safety powered by Iterum, and I can confidently say it was an enlightening experience. The trainers (Tom and Jade) were highly knowledgeable and presented the material in an engaging way, making complex concepts easy to understand. The practical examples allowed me to apply what I learned and fostered meaningful discussions among participants. This training is essential for anyone looking to enhance their workplace environment and promote a culture of safety and openness. Highly recommended!

The Psychological Safety Measurement workshop builds on the understanding of psychological safety that we introduce through our Fundamentals workshop to explore how we can ‘measure what matters’ when it comes to psychological safety.
It’s the fourth session of our full Psych Safety ‘Train the Trainer’ Programme.
