Go and introduce yourself on #intros. Tell us about yourself! What do you do, where in the world are you? What brought you to psychological safety?
Update your profile with a photo if you like, and add any other information, such as pronouns and time zone.
Explore the channels. There are a number of them and we’d like to grow them – currently we have channels for a range of industries, from healthcare to aviation, and other channels specific to discussing particular topics such as diversity and inclusion. For those who are looking for jobs or who are recruiting, we have a channel specifically for jobs and careers to post opportunities and your own availability and expertise in any area related to psychological safety. You can also suggest new channels if you think we need one on a particular subject.
We also have a private forum for our alumni community, which is open to those who have attended any of our workshops, training sessions, or corporate events. If you join the community, and you’ve attended workshops or training, just let me, Jade, or one of the moderators know and we’ll bring you in.
There is a code of conduct, which is open to review and changes by members.
We also have our incredible moderators! Tom Barron, our Marketing Specialist, and Diana Stepner, a Product and Leadership Coach based in San Francisco, USA, who is a valued community member and has attended a number of our workshops too. Our moderators help keep the conversations going and will try to help with any questions about the community, and deal with any issues that arise.
As well as being a space to connect with like-minded people, the Community tends to be where we “soft launch” new products, new courses, meetups and events, and other opportunities, before we announce them in the newsletter. So in general, if you want to find out about things as soon as possible, the Psychological Safety Community is the place to be.
Everyone is welcome to contribute regardless of experience or confidence. All ideas and perspective are valid. Equally, if you want to hang back and silently read the conversations, that’s cool too.
If you know someone who you think belongs here, invite them via the this link: https://discord.gg/MkmJW685YG
This community is always evolving. If you have any questions or suggestions for improving it, email tom@psychsafety.com or contact the moderators in the community.
We look forward to welcoming you there!
Our community Code of Conduct: Diversity and inclusion make our community strong. We encourage participation from the most varied and diverse perspectives as possible and our goal is to maintain a safe, helpful and friendly community for everyone, regardless of experience, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, or other defining characteristic.
This code and related procedures apply to unacceptable behavior occurring in all community platforms and events.
This isn’t an exhaustive list of things that you should or should not do. Rather, read it in the spirit in which it’s intended – a guide to make it easier to enrich all of us and the communities in which we participate. Basically, be kind. And use gifs.
