Workshop Design and Facilitation: 27 March 2025 - Stream 1

This is a 2.5 hour workshop that draws on the content from each module and provides you with the framework, tools, and confidence to run your own workshops on psychological safety theory, measurement, and practice. We draw on our own experience running workshops and training sessions across industries and cultures all over the world - successes, mistakes, good practice, as well as pedagogical theory and classroom practice.

Attendance of all five workshops including intermediate, advanced, measurement, leadership and practices is a prerequisite.

We cover the following:

  • A recap of the previous modules and content.
  • Designing and planning workshops on psychological safety
  • Structure, flow, technology and tools
  • Online vs in-person considerations, group size
  • Facilitation practices and tips, such as warmups and icebreakers
  • Inclusion, diversity, and culture in workshops
  • Materials and resources
  • Evaluation and retrospectives
  • Further reading and resources.

Delivered online via Zoom

We offer one scholarship place entirely free of charge to each workshop. The scholarship is intended for those for whom any payment at all is out of reach. Preference is given to people in lower-income countries and from disadvantaged or under-represented groups. Contact us if you're interested.

Jade Garratt

Jade is all about crafting inclusive, healthy and psychologically safe educational environments that allow both educators and students to thrive. With 15 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, the charitable sector, higher education, and the private sector, she brings a unique blend of insights to the table. Trust, openness, and mutual respect are the cornerstones of her educational philosophy. Initially, Jade dedicated five years to teaching and middle leadership in schools in challenging contexts, alongside her studies for a Master’s in Educational Leadership. She then transitioned to coaching and leadership development with Teach First, a UK educational charity and social movement. More recently, she held a senior position in educational enhancement at the University of Nottingham. Her doctoral research focuses on the impact of students’ educational backgrounds on their university experience, through a social justice lens. With a Physics degree from Oxford University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and ongoing PhD research in Educational Practice at the University of Nottingham, Jade’s passion for education is at the core of her work. She aims to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to succeed in a supportive environment.
