Psychological Safety Advanced Workshop: 24 March 2025 - Stream 2
This is a 2.5 hour workshop that assumes an intermediate level understanding of psychological safety theory, evidence, and practice. It's designed to be applicable to any industry, from technology to healthcare, local government to education. This is my favourite workshop to run because we get to geek out and dive in to interesting topics!

We cover the following aspects of psychological safety:
- A deep examination of the history of psychological safety, theory, research and evidence.
- Associated academic fields of study.
- The impact of country and societal cultures on psychological safety.
- Psychological Safety in Healthcare, Aviation and Manufacturing.
- Complex Adaptive Systems, sociotechnicality and Learning Organisations
- Safety Culture Concepts such as Safety I & II, and work-as-imagined vs work-as-done.
- Introduction to sociological research methods: qualitative, quantitative and mixed-methods approaches.
- Further reading and resources.
This is a very interactive, discussion-based session combined with resource-based learning, intended to draw on the expertise of all present so that we can learn from each other as well as draw on literature, research, and industry examples.
We offer one scholarship place entirely free of charge to each workshop. The scholarship is intended for those for whom any payment at all is out of reach. Preference is given to people in lower-income countries and from disadvantaged or under-represented groups. Contact us if you're interested.
